It’s a question we never thought we’d ask, but it turns out clean laundry is the perfect metaphor for clean title.
In our latest video, we brought in our CEO Jeff, along with his daughters Eden and Vesper, to help explain what really goes into delivering a clean title at closing. Spoiler alert: it takes a lot more work than most people think. Kind of like laundry.
Because when you're 5 years old and throw on your favorite shirt, you’re probably not thinking about who soaked it, scrubbed it, stain-treated it, washed it, dried it, folded it, and put it back in the drawer. It just shows up clean.
The same thing happens in title. You buy a house, sign the papers, and assume everything behind the scenes just happened.
But the truth is, there’s a mountain of detailed, not-so-glamorous work that goes into making sure a property is truly yours. No liens, no errors, and no surprise stains from 1993.
We’re talking about:
Most people never see it. And that’s the point.
When a title company does its job right, the process feels simple and seamless. But simple does not mean easy.

After all, there's nothing really quite like it, and also nothing more important—especially when buying a home.
So, we asked our CEO, Jeff, to help break it down.

It's funny how the laundry just appears clean.

You throw on your favorite shirt or dress and don't think twice about the mess that it used to be.

Usually a mommy, daddy, or a grandparent who cares.

Everyone just thinks it happens, but it takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to make it look effortless.
