Jeffrey Bates Appointed to the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation Board

If there's one thing we've learned from our years in the title industry, it's that this business is about so much more than transactions. It's about the communities we collectively serve. That's why we've always felt a deep connection to the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation. Recently, that connection got a little more personal.
We're incredibly proud to announce that D. Bello’s CEO, Jeffrey Bates, has been appointed to the Foundation's Board of Directors.
Continuing a Legacy of Service
Stepping onto the board right now feels especially meaningful. The group is working hard to carry forward the vision of the late Mary O'Donnell, who didn't just lead the Foundation; she created it. Since 2020, her belief in the power of title professionals to do good has been the driving force behind everything this organization achieves. Jeff is honored to serve alongside newly appointed Board Chair Steve Day, Vice Chair Scott Chandler and the rest of the Board of Directors in carrying that torch forward.
Why This Matters to Us
At D. Bello, we've always believed that business should be a force for good. Whether we're "Lighting up the Night" as Gold Sponsors of the AGDF event in Orlando or turning ALTA ONE into a scavenger hunt to trigger donations, we've seen firsthand the impact this group has, not only for grant recipients but for everyone in the title industry.
We know the title industry is unique because it's built on the backbone of local relationships. The Good Deeds Foundation takes that local commitment and amplifies it on a national scale. Since 2020, it has awarded more than $1.36 million in grants to nonprofits across 46 states. For Jeff, this isn't just a new title. It’s a true honor and a natural extension of the work he's done over 20 years at D. Bello.

"The Good Deeds Foundation is the heart of our industry’s charitable work, and I’m honored to have a seat at the table to help support the nonprofits that are doing the heavy lifting in our backyards."
